did u know, there’s this small rural town in japan called obama.
so there’s this girl in a 2007 drama who moved from the city to obama.
and she hates it at first and blames the town for her misery.
i kid u not. didn’t make this shit up.

  5. Since I’ve posted a video on YouTube, and also sent in pictures to our English class poster board, I’ve gotten many comments on my selfie taking skills. I guess I’ll explain myself in a little more depths for those of you who tease me for my self-photo-shoots.

    1. Since when, in the history of the world, has the “Selfie” become a ceremony that only one gender can perform? Last time I checked, men were in pictures, as well. Therefore, everyone is entitled to take a picture of themselves (Even you!).

    2. I am a happy guy! I like to smile and I like to feel good about myself. While taking a picture is not the only way that I show my happiness, it is one of the simplest ways. Does this mean I’m bragging? I guess if you see it that way, then yes. But I see it more as being confident in myself. Confident enough to show my true happiness to the rest of the world; in hope that maybe my joy and delight will pass on to someone else who views my pictures.

    3. Confidence (as stated in number 2.) is something that I have struggled with for many years. Just the simple idea of standing up for what I believe in terrified me. But I’ve taken a new direction with my life and have tried to break out of as much of the social norms as possible. Selfies have become a social norm that shows “femininity”. What’s the problem with being feminine? And how do you properly show that taking a picture is feminine? Just some questions that I would like answered.

    4. My last statement is simply that whatever you may say about my selfies will not hurt me. I like them! And what I like, I do. It’s very ignorant for you to judge a person just by a picture. I will continue to post selfies in many different poses/expressions as I please because I love who I am, and the beauty I have. Besides, I didn’t realize my goal in life was to please you.

The next time you want to mock someone for taking a picture, make sure your confidence is more stable theirs.
